Energize not providing XP

Was in the faction stronghold and used it on other factionmates, if that's relevant.

Usually seeing the XP message and getting 0 means you hit a zerg flag of some sort

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can't tell whether it has to do with fully energizing vs not, will test more in the future.

The logic for granting XP is as follows:


  • Zerg flags will zero both the MP grant and XP gain
  • If you recently attacked the target, you gain no XP for energizing them
  • If you're high level energizing a low level you can get as little as 5% of the MP granted as XP, which could get rounded down to 0
  • If the character you're energising has recently used Arcane Channel or Energize, then you gain no XP

Looking at the characters in question, I would say the case here is that the characters you are energizing have recently used the skill themselves.
