Almost to level 10. Figured I'd ask for some advice, this is before doing any CP badges. Mostly I'm wondering if poison is a needed thing for defiler or am I getting leyline to late. Any advice would be welcomed since I still have time to switch things around. Figured horns would give me some ward bashing and I could do some hunting/raiding on this as well.

Seeked out advice from another DO (as this build is a totally different route than were my DO went). Goes as follows:

Great for ward bashing, but that 9 damage isn't much on anyone else. (the corrosive ones) Both have secondary effects they might apply the first tier has a chance of minor poison second tier gets acid burn which takes down soak by 1.. and maybe defense by 5%
But if you're wanting to kill things I don't think horns on their own are great, aside from triggering agony curse :joy:
Buuut for ward bashing they are perfect, never miss because they have base 75? I think it is and wards have -defense. No repair upkeep either.

They'll also get great xp as well as being super useful in a faction being able to enchant items. Alchemy alone is great xp (plus badge earning). If they wanted to save some xp, I don't really see First Aid being necessary (make your own healing or regen potions, or get life vampire and collect Blood Ices).
It's a far different type of Oppressor than my own, I'll just copy paste this whole section into a reply!

I just like using them because fighting wards is easy, they don't fight back. Everything else, curse/poison and run away.
Well on raids you'll still get the xp for agony curse proc, while letting the other player get the kill/damage xp of their own. Doesn't take long to level.
So it's not like you need to directly damage to level as a DO
