Doctor Cleaver rubbed his gnarled hands together while chuckling with glee. He turns looking out of an Asylum window as the city Power Plants simultaneously explode in earth shaking blast. The small pocket purgatories appeared causing murder and destruction. Left for the denizens of Laurentia to deal with.
Once destroyed, the process would continue in a never ending blight upon the mortal plane. A Chaos loop leading to Hell!
Doctor Cleaver pushes a body drained of blood from his desk, and picks up his a metallic calligraphy pen covered in glowing runes.
"Ahg-za-haru will be pleased." He mutters to himself gleefully, as he starts adding runes to the blood smeared metal pages of the ticking artifact. Hasheen death magic and Tholaghru primitive screams fight each line of the quill. His chaotic laughter builds as his focus starts to break against an eternity of Breath's past, present and future. But still his quill moved as if guided by an invisible hand.
Runes swam in the air glowing green, black, purple and gold. They branded as they touched his corpse flesh, leaving steaming Sigils of protection, as parts of his body started to give. But still his hand moved. He moves his fast disintegrating free arm, and starts to draw healing runes in the air. His left leg crumbles to dust as he fights the resistance of the artifact, and still the quill moved. He looks down as a pull in his stomach draws his attention to innards falling from the now open cavity. He focuses his unraveling sanity for the last line, his chaotic laughter turning to screams as he feels the ruin of his body, the dust it is becoming, being consumed by the Book in a blinding storm.
Then suddenly, the artifact is silent, the room eerily normal. The upper torso with one arm and half a face drops to the floor. He twitches, reaches up to the desk and presses an intercom button.
"Nurse..." he gurgles.
"Yes Doctor?" Answers through a gabbled intercom speaker.
"Bring me a fresh body, urgently! A live one, please." He lies back smiling with a thud.

Well, not complete silence. There was a thank you for the credits, and for the event in general, I quite enjoyed it (obviously?) Glad I was present for the whole thing. Almost. I actually went camping before the winner was announced, just got back a bit ago, (not as long of a trip as originally intended, but one takes what one can get) heh. Malice will forever carry the Skull of Rasputin with her everywhere she goes.
